Today at 16:00 was an event I have been waiting for since I started watching football thirteen years ago: Jets v. Saints. And, to make the matchup even better both teams are good this year.
The Saints ended up pulling off the win, but it was in an unusual manner. The Jets defense played well, holding the the number one in the NFL, Saints offense to a meager 10 points. It was an amazing feat in itself. The Jets problem was that their offense allowed 14 points…doh. With a final score of 24-10, the Jets kept it close, but those two critical turnovers proved to be their undoing.
Hopefully, in February when they’re playing each other again both team will play well, and the win won’t be decided a mistake one of the teams made.
Drew Brees has boned me ANOTHER week in fantasy football. UGH. No TD’s. I’m glad your favorite teams are good this year just ask Mr. Brees to start throwing in the end zone a little more ok thanks ttyl
It happens. The Saints are not one dimensional, so they don’t have to rely on Brees to win this year. I am debating benching Brees and putting in Rodgers. Although Favre has been out scoring him in my league.
