Aestetic Decadence

Well, I have decided to take it a little easy on my readers today. It seems that my prior post was a bit to thick, and long. This is not the case for this post at all. Basically I am just ranting on about essentially nothing before I remove myself from the conscious realm. The picture in this post really has nothing to do with anything, I just happened upon it today and liked it. And, I am a firm believer that posts with images can really class up the join. Though I do still have an appreciation for the plain text post (as that is what most of mine are).

Anyhow, getting to my point, I got a Gmail account today. Indeed, it was quite an epic moment. However, moments after I got my invitation Gmail went down for about 20 minutes. Damn you sweet irony, why must you mock me. Please do not ask who invited me, since he is my hero for inviting me I will not reveal his identity in order to protect him from scammers trying to Gmail accounts. I am eager to start using the service, and see what kind of quality I can expect from Google. Within the next day or so, I am planning on changing my contact email (on this site) to Gmail. Having a gig of space for email should really be epic.

In the not to distant future, I would like to give you guys some more politically charged posts including such topics as why Recycling is bad, and corporate politics. If anyone has any topics they would like to hear me rant about, feel free to drop me a line, or comment here and I’ll see what kind of conservative/radical argument I can whip up.

It’s about quality, not quantity. It’s the virtual “motion in the ocean” as it were.

  3. chouse says:

    chouse@gmail.com :-D

let’s fill up vanlandw’s mailbox with pictures of cans of spam

  4. Jeff says:

That is a good idea Chouse, I’ll have to get right on that.

  5. vanlandw says:

    DON’T SPAM ME BOOBS!

sbcglobal mail is just fine for my uses…it has POP and SMTP and I don’t see g/mail having that currently :-P

spam wes. hug chouse. warn fuller for his right-wing politics.

    squarehalo@gmail.com :)

  7. Jeff says:

Hey, take solice in the fact that I would not believe in varied right wing politics if they were not correct. Also, bare in mind that not all of my opinions are in the camp. Though I usually vote either Republican, or Natural Law, I consider myself a Federalist.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make when dealing with the U.S. is that they consider it a Democracy, when it is more of a Republic.

  8. chouse says:

Are you a fan of The Federalist? http://www.federalist.com/

  9. Jeff says:

I’ll have to check in on the Federalist. From a distance it seems to be purely contemporary republican stuff. I will check to see what is under the surface.

My G-mail account just beat up vanlandw’s sbcglobal mailbox. Recognize. :-*
I like the corporate politics idea…roll with that one.

  11. rusty says:

fulljeff- i swear you would love ayn rand. brb :P

  12. Jeff says:

Not really Mr. Bomhof. Aun Rand was all about “objectivism” whichs sounds appealing at first, but is really counter to what I believe. Perhaps most in the fact that they denouce self-sacrifice and morale accountability to anyone other than yourself.

  13. rusty says:

fulljeff, i was not saying you should take in objectivism as a whole. you would simply like her wacko politics. :P

oh- and since you are a fan of the “rant,” you would also love her character’s ridiculously long speeches. >:-O ?

  14. Jeff says:

I was reading some of the publications from the Ayn Rand Institute, and they are really funny. Perhaps even more outlandish than Michael Moore. I mean serious, you can justify pretty much every kind of crime imaginable using their logic.

  15. rusty says:

thats because the stuff on the website is organized by raynd’s “intellectual” heir, dr. leonard peikoff. the man has gone mentally over board. objectivism is split into two groups now pretty much: the “rayndroids” who take every word of her writing as gosple (peikoff), and those who do not. its a long, boring story- having a lot to do with rand trying to justify cheating on her own husband because the other man had more similar “values”. they are all insane. luckily, “fulljeff” is wacky too. :P

  16. Jeff says:

Rusty, you have classified people into two groups, those that satisfy some criteria, and those that don’t. I do not know how I feel about that.
