The entire organization needs to be eliminated. Starting at the top, the ownership of the Ford’s is utterly worthless. It is pretty clear that they do not understand anything about football, and they are more interested in having an ass-kissing General Manager than one that actually has an IQ above 70 (the cut off for retardation). Speaking of retardation, lets talk about Matt Millen.

Since his stay at the Lions, they have had a record of 20-55. How is this incompetence rewarded? Well, he got a five year contract extension. Earlier today he said, “this is a brutal business, and at times, good people suffer a cruel fate.” This is in reference to firing yet another head coach (that he hired), along with the quarterback and tight end coach.

Who did he place as “interim” head coach, none other than Jauron, who drove the Bears into the ground. That is one hell of an upgrade.

Also, earlier the Lions filed a grievance against one of their wide receivers. Now, I understand the reason to have the grievance, but the timing was horrible. Just like firing the coaches today. These are things that should be happening in the off season, not in the middle of the season. Football players don’t need any more distractions, they are losing enough.

This is just another cop-out by Millen, as he is unwilling to accept the burden of responsibility for the team’s failures. Instead the organization has become a joke, and a coach meat grinder.

It is time for Millen to step up, and confess his sins and admit that he is unfit to run the operations of the Detroit Lion football team.
