totally understandable rusty….i defended you while trying to be as comical as i could :-[

i browse myspace maybe once a week mostly because either somebody i know made a page or to check out some hot chick that doesn’t know any better.

i check facebook less then once every few months. i don’t know many people and for those people i do know i know their current status. oddly enough i know a lot of people and the first thing they do when they get on the comptuer is hop on myspace/facebook and browse the same ad-inflicted BS for hours

the gvsu computer lab is just overrun with these people viewing half nude pictures of females they don’t know in cancun or creating “bulletins”

literally the only reason i use myspace is because, like vanlandw said, not everyone spends as much time online as we (rather pathetically) do. i found a bunch of old people that I hadn’t seen in almost a decade, and got to keep in touch with friends that only really use that service for anything remotely social online, etc. i tried not to render my profile completely unreadable, and I had a good time in the process. that being said, I’ going to use it a lot less now I think. I just had to try it out.

I will defend Rusty’s myspace to an extent. His page isn’t totally 100% annoying. He doesn’t have a static background that looks horrible. He doesn’t have an annoying song playing or an annoying video or any animated GIF’s.

He still DOES have a myspace and it’s pretty annoying. Russ does have a lot of “hot” friends though so it’s worth to browse his profile :-[

I guess myspace is ok for some people. If your one of the ones who need to have contact with people who arn’t internet whores like myself you can leave messages and create “Bulletins” they can read at a later date. Also for some strange reason somebody wants to find highschool buddies it’s a decent way to do so.

For me all my friends are internet nerds so I can contact them almost at will. I hate bulletins. I also hate highschool so myspace offers me nothing.

I get the majority of my gallery hits from myspace bastards, and gaming nerds. I have a constant tail -f going on my web logs, so I know exactly who is hotlinking.

there are probably 15 or more distinct web sites (domains, not distinct users) getting this image, currently:

the stupid thing is, they don’t remove it. they just leave it. I had goatse, I had a shotgun wound image, and other gruesome stuff up – and they simply don’t take it down. it’s odd.

And as for stupid internet people – I’d respond, but I need to run out and get one of those ‘internet dictionary’ books for $50 from barnes and noble.
