Razr V3c

Well, I guess that it was that time again. That is, time to purchase a new cell phone. I “upgrade” every couple years or so for no particular reason. Although, this is the first time that I have purchased a new phone with no real complaints about my old one. I guess if anything, the older one had receptions problems, but I highly doubt that this one will be a whole lot better. I do know that in a couple of place in the house I can make phone class with at least some limited clarity, whereas before I barely got enough signal for the phone to ring.

This phone apparently offers some kind of bluetooth functionality. Currently, I don’t have any computers that support bluetooth, but I did order a USB adapter that I should be getting soon. It will be nice to actually be able to sync my phone with my Mac since my Windows laptop has died I have not been able to sync my old phone. Also, I think I might pick up one of those wireless headset deals for driving and what not. However, ultimately the reason that I wanted the phone was another matter altogether.

The phone is designed to be small, quite small. granted that the height and width are bigger than that of a lot of the phones on the market, its depth is miniscule by comparison. This makes it fit nicely into a pocket, something that I have been looking for, for a while as I don’t like clunky belt clips and what not. Furthermore, it does not have any kind of external antenna bulging out to jab me in leg, a double plus good feature.

Unfortunately, I have not had the phone long enough to make a valid assessment of its quality. However, I hope to get some use from it soon.

If anyone has had any experiences with a Razr, let me know.

that is a pretty slick phone. i have to say i’m never going to upgrade mine until it dies a painful death…i hate cell phones and they cost way to much.

I have a Motorola V330 which by style is nothing like the Razr, but I understand it has a very similar menu system and functionality. I really like the way my camera works, and much the same as you, I have Bluetooth but no way of utilizing it. I have T-Mobile, so I pretty much e-mail pictures that I take with it. As far as ringtones, it plays MP3′s so I can edit them down, put them up on dotorg, and download them using the browser on my phone. Pretty cool.
I’ve thought about the wireless headsets, but at around 70 bucks, I think the old fashioned ‘phone-to-ear’ technique was suitable.

I would never buy any cell phone accessories at retail cost, they have far to high margins. I usually look around for internet retails that off stuff at up to 80% off.

I just got the car charger for it for $5.60, the bluetooth adapter for $20, and if I decided to get a wireless headset, they are $30.

    Vanlandw, pick it up.

Personally, i don’t like the Razr.

other phones offer much more functionality as well… trans flash card, video, etc.

The motorola E815 is my favorite phone on the current market.

Correction: By “Video”… i did not mean the ability to record video. i meant the ability to play other video formats that can be transferred to the phone and extended further by expansion memory cards.

I think the razr has all the features that I use. I rarely take pictures, never take videos, etc… I essentially just use it as a phone. It accomplishes that task pretty well. I would have liked to have had an SD card, but the bluetooth should take care of what I would have used it for anyway.

I am not sure why you would want to copy video to your phone?

Also, the E815 has the form factor that I did not like, and “upgraded” from.

yeah i don’t give a shit about “functions” when it comes to a phone. i don’t want to watch movies i don’t want to listen to music i don’t want to shop i don’t want to browse the internet. i want a phone that gets good clear reception that looks decent and isn’t that much of a burden to carry around.

sadly my current phone sucks balls :-P

the razr is a badass phone…brb

vanlandw, you pretty much just summarized my entire post. I would have given you a “gg” if you hadn’t left “brb” at the end. :???:

One thing I have always liked better about the Motorola phones is that they have speaker phone, and have a much louder earpiece volume. My old Samsung was barely audible even at full volume. At least with the Motorola, if I can’t hear with the earpiece, I can turn on speakerphone.

My phone has a horrible speaker phone. I am thinking I will upgrade in a few years hopfully. The longer I can wait the better.
