Pesky Cashiers
While at Meijer earlier today, I picked up a copy of “Gilmore Girls” for my mother. The girl at that checkout was fairly rotund, and easily excitable. After she scanned the box set, the following conversation took place.
Girl: Is this for you? I love Gilmore Girls.
Me: Of course it’s for me. Why would I be here buying it if it weren’t for me?
Girl: Really?
Me: No.
Girl: Oh. Because, if you were serious I was going to tell you to marry me, because I LOVE Gilmore Girls.
Me: If I were actually buying it for myself, I would be gay.
MSU Gets a Black Eye
In what can only be termed as “appropriate” my university of choice, GVSU, forced a Division I giant to stumble in double overtime in an exhibition game yesterday. Sure it doesn’t count towards either team’s records, but it sure doesn’t make MSU look good.
“The Spartans shouldn’t have been shocked at the loss since they trailed the Lakers for more than 38 minutes before escaping with a win last season. This time, Grand Valley controlled the game for most of its 50 minutes.”
Maybe I should have spent 2 hours waiting to get a poster signed by the GVSU team.
