For all you Obama supporters out there, I think that MSNBC is calling this one for Obama. So, you don’t even have to worry about going out and voting if you haven’t already. This one is in the bag! You’ve nothing left to do but kick back with a cold one and watch the world go to hell.

Comprehensive Argument Agaginst Obama
So, I am blurry eyed and exhausted, and I have been canvassing youtube for the various videos capturing Obama’s weaknesses. I was quite pleased when I happened upon the article “The Comprehensive Argument Against Barack Obama.” Basically the people over at Hot Air went through and did exactly what I wanted. Now, keep in mind they have a few things in here that I don’t really care all that much about, such as abortion and his so called “radical associations.” But, they do hit on a lot of the key points, such as:
- Taxes
- Foreign Policy Judgment
- Disdain for the “Heartland”
- The so called, “Race Card”
- Lack of Accomplishments
- Etc..
Basically, it just lays out all the things about Obama that are less than desirable. I’m sure that someone could put together a similar list of videos for McCain, since both candidates are both so weak.
Keep in mind that I don’t actually expect this to change anyone’s mind. But, I would like Obama supporters to read it, as I hope it might mitigate some of that “warm and fuzzy” feeling.
Alright, I’m tapped out. I should be posting a few more times throughout the day tomorrow.
Everyone needs to make sure to get out and vote…for the republican candidates!
Jack the Mechanic
I was delighted to hear that our automotive mechanic will be voting for the republican candidate for the first time in his life. He’s been voting straight ticket democrat for over forty years now. The delightful twist on this, is that he was not swayed by the typical bs. He is not voting for Obama because he doesn’t like him, he is voting for McCain because he loathes Nancy Pelosi.
I really think they should put Pelosi and Gingrich into a cage match until they kill each other. These people were/are horrible speakers that did/do nothing more than polarize their base.
Tax Hypocrisy
I really don’t get the whole “progressive” tax system. It seems utterly ridiculous. Why on Earth do we have a system the punishes success? I find it highly offensive. From my perspective, if you want to tax the most successful people in our society, you can do it quite easily without our current bullshit. Just do as follows:
Charge a flat tax rate, say 25%. Then, offer a single deduction: either $100,000 or the aggregate value of charitable donations, whichever is higher. Done.
This way, A major of Americans would pay no direct income taxes, but would be subject to exactly the same system of those at the highest income levels. Furthermore, as you advance in success you are taxed evenly through out (as in each dollar beyond $100,000 is taxed $0.25). Rather than the current system where at arbitrary levels every dollar you make is taxed differently resulting in big jumps.
There May be Hope Yet
While on the other side of the state this weekend for my maternal grandfather’s seventieth I found a glimmer of hope. Apparently, everyone in my family (parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and cousins) will all be voting for the republican presidential candidate for the first time ever. There is something that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling when a registered democrat manages to lay out a convincing argument for why you should not to vote for Barack Obama.
Cheers.
