Apple Nerfs Stanza

In what initially appears to be an anticompetitive move, Apple forces Stanza to remove the ability to add books via USB. Apple claims that they are justified because Stanza has to use a private API to access the books because the iPhone is such a shitty platform that it won’t allow you to copy files to it without a work around.

I hope there is a good android phone out there by the time my contract expires. Apple is seriously starting to piss me off.

Psuedo Accomplishments

This post exists for the solo purpose of poking fun at vanlandw.

A few days ago he shared out a game he thought he would like on the iPhone. But, he doesn’t have an iPhone, or iPod Touch so he couldn’t get it.

The game consists of a dude that swings from platform to platform like spider-man. The only control you have in the game is telling the dude when he should let go, which in turn determines whether or not he would live and how many points your timing is worth.

This game could easily be a cheap flash game on one of the cesspools of the internet. And, since vanlandw has been posting the completion of flash games as psuedo accomplishments, I had my brother take a photo of me completing this game so I could post it here.

Mobile Browsing

I just installed “WPTouch” on my site so that it looks nice on my ipod touch. However, it occurred to me that I may want to optimize the mobile browsing experience for users on other devices.

My question is, how many people actually read my site on a mobile device other than an iPhone/iPod Touch?

If there are a lot of users viewing the site on shitty browsers I can switch out WPTouch for MobilePress.
